Utica: The Last Refuge will be shown in Rochester, NY on Monday, October 24, 2022 in celebration of United Nations Day. The United Nations Association of Rochester will host two screenings at The Little Theater.

The documentary explores refugee resettlement in Utica, New York following a refugee family from Sudan as they transition to a thriving American refugee community. The film highlights agencies that help in resettlement and the positive impact on Utica's economy. There will be screenings at 3 and 6pm. At 8pm the filmmaker, Rochester refugees and local refugee agencies/advocates will be part of a panel discussion.
Refugee resettlement agencies will be on hand from 3pm-9pm to share information.
